The Mellanox MQM9700-NS2F switch, based on NVIDIA Quantum-2, is equipped with 64 400Gb/s ports and 32 physical octal small form factor (OSFP) interfaces.
It can provide up to 128 200Gb/s ports separately, with a 1U standard chassis design. This switch uses a connection cage to integrate two 400Gb/s ports into a cage called 2x400G (800G) dual-port OSFP,
which is only used for these air-cooled switches. The total bidirectional throughput of a single switch is 51.2 TB per second (Tb/s), and its peak capacity exceeds 66.5 billion packets per second (BPPS).
It supports the latest NVIDIA high-speed 400Gb/s interconnection technology. NVIDIA Quantum-2 brings a high-speed, extremely low latency, and scalable solution,
integrating the most advanced technologies such as Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA), adaptive routing, and NVIDIA Scalable Hierarchical Aggregation and Reduction Protocol (SHARP).
